《On Telling Images of China：Essays in Narrative Painting》
The essays in this volume address a diverse range of issues in China’s narrative art and visual culture mainly from the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) to the present. These studies attend to the complex ways in which images circulate in pictorial media and across boundaries between ‘high art’ and popular culture—images in paintings, prints, stone engravings and posters, as well as in film and video art. In addition, the authors examine the roles of ancient exemplary stories and textual narratives, as well as their reiteration in the visual arts in early modern and modern social and political contexts.
The volume is divided into three sections, Representing Paradigms, Interpreting Literary Themes and Narratives, and the Medium and Modernity. While the essays in each section deal with concerns in the field of China’s art history, an editors’ introduction serves to position the topic of narrative art and to introduce definitions and genre issues which run through the book. As a whole, the volume invites reflection on the intrinsic nature of narratives and their pictorial lives, and presents new research which challenges established views and paradigms.

作者介紹
Shane McCausland
Shane McCausland is Reader in the History of Art of China in the Department of the History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS, University of London. At the Chester Beatty Library between 2004 and 2009, he was Curator of the East Asian Collections and latterly Head of Collections. He holds a doctorate in Art History and East Asian Studies from Princeton University, and is the author of books and articles on Chinese and Japanese painting. His monograph entitled Zhao Mengfu: Calligraphy and Painting for Khubilai’s China was published by Hong Kong University Press in 2011.
Yin Hwang is a PhD candidate and a Teaching Fellow in the Department of the History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS, University of London. Her doctoral research focuses on the depictions of war and natural disaster in the print and visual culture of the late Qing period. She has written articles on Chinese painting, printmaking, contemporary Asian art and the art market. She was managing editor of Or到貨付款 ientations magazine from 2005 to 2009.

往返台北、金山的國光客運1815，過去為方便居民，默許臨停下車卻遭人檢舉，國光客運前天宣布拒載短程，引起地方民眾反彈；國光客運解釋，國道客運不能隨意上下車，過去體恤年長民眾變通，如今只是回歸法令。
國光客運1815路線主要為台北至金山青年活動中心、台北至法鼓山兩種路線，每10至15分鐘發一班車，每日多達200多班公車往返台北與金山兩地；該路線屬於國道客運，卻多次在基隆市區基金公路、麥金路上搭載旅客，引發路權爭議遭人檢舉。
本月初交通部台北監理站發文要求改進，國光客運16日宣布不再搭載短途旅客，民眾往台北去程只能上車，回程只能下車，不可中途上下車。
北海岸全民聯盟公社發起人郭世賢批評，不少年長居民搭乘此班車前往基隆長庚醫院就醫，拒載措施將影響為數眾多年長者和通勤學生權益，「簡直把金山、萬里居民當次等公民！」
市議員周雅玲表示，考量民眾前往基隆就醫、就學及工作需求，將偕同立委蔡適應，向公路總局及基隆市政府表達訴求，爭取1815路公車維持現狀。
大陸毛巾業強勢興起，雲林部分毛巾業者利用反傾銷保護的十年從逆境中翻身，有人專走五星級飯店高檔毛巾市場，有人研發嬰幼兒專用的超柔觸感毛巾，為毛巾業找到第二春。
做毛巾卅幾年的好家庭毛巾公司總經理張旭初對未來充滿自信，因為轉型成功，他不怕大陸毛巾再次登台，因為「我的市場不在台灣，而是全世界」。
張旭初說，經過十年努力，已徹底改變公司體質，深知「多元、改變」才是生存之道，他用好品質的毛巾打進美國職籃和職棒，洋基隊的球員毛巾就出自他的生產線。
張旭初的策略是不在乎商品有沒有「好家庭」標籤，只在乎客製化的品質和設計是否滿足客戶需求，即使只有一條毛巾的訂單也照接。他串連上下游近八個衛星工廠一起合作，把客製化訂單比率從三成拉高到七成，壯大了產能，獲利也倍增。
此外，張旭初觀察父母照顧新生兒的需要，研發嬰兒專用的超柔細觸感毛巾，在百貨公司通路上架，一條要價上千元。
原本面臨關廠的興隆毛巾負責人林國隆當年苦思為毛巾業找出路，學美術設計的子女提供文創點子，開發蛋糕毛巾，接著又推出卡通、人偶、水果等圖樣的產品，不但擄獲年輕人的心，也在國際市場打出一片天。

（中央社記者唐佩君台北22日電）外交部「中國大陸阻撓我國際空間事例」網頁在空白8年後，昨天再度重啟，經外交部認證今年大陸打壓事例中，前總統馬英九赴馬來西亞演講頭銜遭改也列入。秒殺
2000年陳水扁政府上台後，外交部自2001年即在官方網站上刊出「中國大陸阻撓我國際空間事例」，並清楚寫著維護國家主權、安全與尊嚴是外交工作的三大目標，外交部及所有駐外館處都應該密切注意中共在國際間的謀我行動，並竭盡全力加以預防與阻止，也深盼國人共同支持政府的外交工作。
但打壓事件在馬政府2008年後即未公開，外交部官員表示，其實內部一直都有蒐集資訊，但因奉高層核示不要公布，因此2008年後網頁未更新內容空白。
今年新政府上台後，因一連串參與國際組織遭到打壓，民進黨立委羅致政率先要求公布，當時外交部回應認為官網主動公布中國大陸打壓事例資料，不僅有違政府致力重啟兩岸對話的善意與目標，也恐成為各界（尤其陸方）情蒐工具，不利後續外交工作推展。
後來民進黨立委蔡適應也同樣要求下，外交部在昨天讓這個網頁復活並公布更新資訊。
今天實際上線看外交部資訊，雖然馬政府任內的8年間還是空白，但已經公布了今年4月至11月共有12個遭大陸打壓案例。
這些事例包括4月「經濟合作暨發展組織」（OECD）與比利時政府 舉行「鋼鐵部門產能過剩及結構調整高階會議」，台灣代表團遭打壓，勿出席高階官員對話會議、另5月的「世界衛生大會」邀請函註明「一中原則」、以及7月「聯合國糧食及農業組織」（FAO）「漁業委員會」（COFI）會議，農委會成員遭拒與會。
9月台灣未獲邀出席「國際民航組織」（ICAO）大會、世界經濟論壇（WEF）表示以「Chinese Taipei」取代「Taiwan,China」為「技術性錯誤」、11月聯合國氣候變化綱要公約（UNFCCC）締約方大會（COP22）」環保署參加官員層級由原訂政務副署長改為參事。
另外，前總統馬英九受邀出席在馬來西亞舉行的「第八屆世界華人經濟峰會開幕式」發表專題演講，外交部也列入成為遭陸打壓案例，原因是陸方介入，主辦單位在開幕式上發放的大會手冊中，將馬英九頭銜由「前總統」改為「前領導人」。1051122
